Under Another Light
The loops are recognisable in both photographs. The colour is not. When illuminated with ultra-violet light, the edges that were previously indistinguishable from the background now stand out as the strongest elements of the object.
The records use the word ‘residue’. I cannot determine if this term refers to a physical substance or something the observer anticipated to find.
